Kenya Williams, MD

Kenya Williams, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist with fellowship training in ophthalmic and facial plastic surgery. She sees patients at her private practice – Suburban Medical Aesthetics, PLLC – in Evanston, Illinois. 

Dr. Williams specializes in evaluating and treating eyelid, eye socket, and tear duct issues that occur due to trauma, aging, and tumors. At Suburban Medical Aesthetics, PLLC, she primarily performs reconstructive and aesthetic surgery on the eyelids and the surrounding tissues. 

Dr. Williams is a Chicago native and grew up in Hyde Park. She completed her undergraduate studies at Spelman College in Atlanta and then returned to the Chicago area, where she earned her medical degree from Chicago Medical School.

Dr. Williams completed her ophthalmology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. After developing an affinity for plastic and reconstructive surgery, she completed an oculoplastic and orbital surgery fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

In addition to running her private practice, Dr. Williams is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of physicians. Consequently, she has mentored many college and medical students throughout her career. 

She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Rush University Medical Center, where she is also the Director of the Oculofacial Service. Dr. Williams is also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology (ENT) and in the Department of Surgery (Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery).
